Every published price and service rule should be verified before a submission is created.

The lowest cost is one fact, not the final grading decision

A useful comparison also considers card eligibility, minimum quantities, declared-value rules, turnaround, reporting, holder preference, vault workflow, and where the collector expects to keep or sell the card.

PSA

PSA is a strong choice when broad collector familiarity, certification research, population data, and connected vault or selling tools matter. Its service can cost more, so the full order math is useful.

CGC

CGC gives sports card and TCG collectors flexible direct submission choices, plus a connected grading and vault route through Fanatics Collect for eligible cards.

Arena Club

Arena Club offers a convenient connected workflow for grading, vault storage, collection management, and marketplace use.

Advanced Grading

Advanced Grading can be great value for the price, especially when a published bulk tier fits the number of eligible cards in the submission.

SGC

SGC can be a strong value for vintage cards and for collectors who appreciate straightforward published pricing and detailed condition standards.

TAG

TAG can be a useful fit for eligible modern cards when detailed digital reporting and high-resolution imaging are important to the collector.

Multi-card grading questions

Why does the grading planner start with blank fees?

Grading prices, service availability, card limits, memberships, and promotions can change. The planner asks the collector to enter a current service tier from the linked official source instead of presenting an old fee as today's price.

Does the lowest estimated total mean the best grading company?

No. The results compare visitor-entered cost assumptions only. Authentication approach, card eligibility, reporting, holder preference, turnaround, vault workflow, collector familiarity, and selling plans can matter too.

How does the maximum declared value field work?

When a maximum is entered, the planner excludes card quantities above that amount from the service calculation. When it is left blank, the planner labels declared-value eligibility as unchecked.

Which grading companies are included?

The planner always includes PSA, CGC, Arena Club, Advanced Grading, SGC, and TAG. Every company has an official pricing link and a separate Card Collector Capital company guide.

What should you check before submitting the card?

Move from card identity to likely costs, then compare the companies that fit the submission.
