Trust starts with showing the work.

Card Collector Capital explains where a factual claim came from, when a changing fact was checked, and how readers can flag something that needs another look.

Never treated as a source

We start as close to the fact as possible.

The preferred source depends on the claim. Official manufacturer checklists support card numbers, product names, inserts, and parallels. Grading-company pages support current services, fees, eligibility, and published turnaround estimates. Certification records support details about a specific holder. League and manufacturer records support player and release facts. Completed marketplace records support evidence of an observed sale.

When a primary source is not available, a recognized hobby reference may help fill the gap. The page should identify that source type and avoid presenting an uncertain detail as settled fact.

Official recordUse for the fact it directly publishes.
Supporting recordUse to confirm identity, context, or a completed sale.
Plain-English readingKeep our explanation separate from the source's statement.

Review dates tell you when we checked.

A review date means the material facts on that page were checked against the listed sources on that date. An updated date means the published page changed. Neither date promises that an outside company, checklist, service, or marketplace remained unchanged afterward.

Prices, service tiers, turnaround estimates, partnerships, product schedules, and population records can move. Readers should open the linked source before paying, shipping a card, or relying on a time-sensitive detail.

AI can assist the work, but it is not evidence.

Software, including AI tools, may help organize research notes, point to wording that deserves a closer look, or draft a clearer explanation. AI output is not accepted as a source. A material factual claim must be checked against cited evidence before publication.

We do not use AI output to invent prices, grades, population data, partnerships, customers, adoption, or company performance. If evidence is incomplete or conflicting, the page should say what remains uncertain.

A correction is an evidence review.

A submitted correction enters a private queue. The affected page and supporting evidence are checked. If a material change is supported, the page is corrected and its review date is updated. If the published statement remains supported, the queue records that no page change was made.

A submission is not proof that the page is wrong, and this process does not promise an individual reply or a fixed response time.

Found something we should check?

Send the exact page and explain the issue. A source title or link in the detail helps identify the relevant record, but personal information is not needed.

To protect the shared queue without tracking people, intake may pause temporarily when site-wide submission volume is unusually high.
