What does Full Grid /22 mean?
Topps’ product page identifies Full Grid Refractors as a new base parallel numbered to 22. The checklist separately uses The Grid as an insert heading. These similar names answer different identification questions: one describes a treatment of a base identity, while the other identifies a separate insert family.
Imagine two listings: Lindblad #12 Full Grid /22 and Lindblad TG-12 The Grid. Record them as distinct cards before comparing prices. A seller showing only the front of a card has not established its serial stamp, so ask for the reverse and a readable stamp photograph where applicable.
Do not read /22 as the number of drivers in a completed insert set, or infer that every racing subject in the product receives that parallel. A checklist presence alone does not prove inclusion in every treatment. Your want list should distinguish the subject, family and finish.
Understand F1 rookie cards and earlier F2 appearances
| Identity | Checklist entry | Inventory distinction |
|---|---|---|
| F1 Drivers base rookie | 12 | Base card; add parallel separately |
| The Grid | TG-12 | Insert family |
| Chrome Autographs | CAC-AL | Autograph family |
| F1 Debut Patch Autographs | DPA-AL | Autograph relic family |
Which format fits a parallel collection?
The manufacturer’s format guide lists Hobby at 20 packs of four cards, Value at seven packs of four and Mega at six packs of seven. Hobby advertises an autograph per box. Value and Mega serve different parallel projects, so a larger card total is not automatically the better fit for a specific finish.
There is a source conflict: the Ripped guide describes Full Grid as Hobby-exclusive, while the linked odds PDF supplies entries for Hobby, First Day Issue, Value and Mega. The table below transcribes the PDF; it does not resolve that disagreement or guarantee distribution. Confirm the applicable packaging before buying a format specifically for Full Grid.
For a Checker Flag project, start with the Mega configuration. For a B&W RayWave project, investigate Value. For an individual driver’s particular card, compare the actual single with the full cost of a sealed opening rather than assigning a hypothetical resale return to unwanted cards.
Compare Hobby and retail configuration concepts
| Card family | Hobby | Value | Mega |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base Full Grid Refractor | 1:694 | 1:1,105 | 1:497 |
| Base B&W RayWave | Not listed | 1:2 | Not listed |
| Base Checker Flag | Not listed | Not listed | 1:1 |
Why 1:497 is not a promise in the 497th pack
Use the Mega Full Grid row as a worked mathematical example. If each pack independently had a 1/497 chance, six packs would have probability 1 − (496/497)^6, about 1.20%, of at least one card from that row. This is an illustrative independence model, not a verified description of Topps’ collation.
The rate concerns the whole listed family, not one named driver. Dividing it again by a presumed number of equally common subjects would add an unsupported assumption. The source warns that intended content and odds can vary.
This distinction matters when comparing listings that turn a pack rate into guaranteed box contents. Expected frequency over production does not mean a particular sealed box contains the target, and earlier unsuccessful packs do not by themselves make the next pack due for a hit.

Schematic. Keep the published rate separate from any mathematical model.
Chrome, Logofractor and Sapphire have different dates
Topps’ format guide gives October 15 for the main Chrome release, October 29 for Logofractor and November 12 for Sapphire. These are the manufacturer’s announced dates checked October 20; the guide does not establish a shared launch time or continuing stock.
Put the edition beside every date in a reminder or preorder record. A seller taking payment for Sapphire after the main Chrome launch does not make that Sapphire item an immediately available main-release box. Confirm the edition and its fulfillment terms at checkout.
For a driver collection, treat ordinary Chrome, Logofractor and Sapphire as separate product or finish fields. This makes later comparison easier and avoids marking a slot complete simply because a card has the same player and number.
Frequently asked questions
Is Full Grid the same as The Grid?
No. Full Grid is the base Refractor parallel numbered to 22. The Grid is a separate insert family with TG-prefixed entries.
What number is Arvid Lindblad’s 2026 Chrome F1 base rookie?
The official checklist lists him at #12 in F1 Drivers. TG-12 is his separate The Grid insert.
Which box has Checker Flag parallels?
The reviewed format guide and odds sheet associate the Checker Flag family with Mega. Check the exact parallel and current packaging.
Does Full Grid at 1:497 mean one per Mega box?
No. That is the Mega pack-odds entry for the family. It is not a box guarantee or the odds of a particular driver.
When do 2026 F1 Logofractor and Sapphire release?
The Topps format guide lists October 29 for Logofractor and November 12 for Sapphire, as checked October 20. It does not state a common launch time.
